Fond du Lac Airfield





Our airfield is advantageous for new pilots. The community of West Bend is an aviation supportive community, and the airfield enjoys the quality and length of runways of larger airports without all of the challenging airfield traffic.



Our Training Program





West Bend Air's Aviation Training can take you all the way from your Private Pilot Certificate to your ATP. We believe in developing safe and responsible pilots and taking the correct amount of time to build them.

Arnie



Flight Instructor



Arnie joined Fond du Lac Skyport and West Bend Air as a Certified Flight Instructor. Arnie is a Gold Seal Flight Instructor with single engine, muti-engine, and Instrument instructor ratings. He is also typed in the DC-8, B-757, and B-767 if you need a checkout in one of those.



Nehemias



Flight Instructor



Nehemias graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with an associate's degree in the Aeronautics Pilot Program. He holds a CFI, CFII, and MEI Certificates.

EAA Airventure 2024





July 22 – July 28, 2024



Fond Du Lac Skyport is excited to be here as your helpful landing, camping, refueling and staging area for your Airventure experience!



Parking





Hard Surface Parking:

-Small Singles are $TBD/day or portion of a day.


- Twins & Large Singles such as Piper Malibu, Matrix, Mirage, and Meridian Are $TBD/day or portion of a day.


-Turbines and Light/Mid size jets are $TBD/day or portion of a day. Handling fee of an additional $TBD will apply to Single Day reservations (can be waived with 100 gal. fuel purchase)


-Limited Hangar availability at $TBD/day for singles and twins. Larger A/C please contact Fond du Lac Skyport for quote.



Grass parking/Camping





- Located on the west side of the field and EAA volunteers will be on the ground to direct aircraft after landing. There is a one-time fee of $TBD for grass parking.


- Parking for aircraft that will be camping near/under your aircraft is located on the east side of the field north of runway 9/27.


- There is a fee of $TBD/aircraft to camp.


- The fee covers parking and use of the showers. Showers are available 24 hours a day during EAA Airventure.



Fuel





- For aircraft parking on the ramp park at the fuel pump (located on the south side of the ramp) and the aircraft will be repositioned by line service (unless otherwise directed upon arrival).


- For aircraft in camping and grass parking fuel can be ordered by filling out a fuel request tag and hanging it on the aircraft's propeller.


- You may obtain a fuel request tag from the EAA Chapter parking volunteers. The fuel tag must be completely filled out before we will fuel the aircraft.


- Payment for fuel can be made in the Skyport office located in the red and brown terminal building between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM.​

shuttle Service





- Nichols Bus Service offers bus service to and from the Fond du Lac Skyport and the EAA grounds from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM.


- The buses leave Fond du Lac on the hour and return from the EAA grounds on the half hour.





Rental Car





- Fond du Lac Skyport does not make car reservations during Airventure. Car reservations can be made directly with Enterprise (920) 924-9999 or Van Horn Rental Cars (920) 400-1561.
